TORCH IgM and TORCH IgG Screening Tests
TORCH Antibody Serum Test Devices
TORCH rapid test panel is a rapid qualitative screening test device. TORCH test is a lateral flow testing panel designed for the qualitative detection of antibodies to Toxoplasma gondii (Toxoplasmosis, TOXO), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Rubella Virus (RV), Herpes Simplex virus I (HSV-1) and Herpes Simplex virus II (HSV-2) respectively. We are supply both TORCH IgM test and TORCH IgG test.
Both TORCH IgM screening test and TORCH IgG screening test are based based on sandwich immunoassay principle, and is a group of immunochromatographic detection assays. When perform the assay with TORCH serum test devices, if any antibody to the above mentioned viruses is present in the samples with a concentration above the cut-off level, enough labeled antibody-dye complex will form. Then this complex is captured by the recombinant antigen immobilized in the test region (T) of the membrane strip, a visible pink or rose color line will emerge, indicating a positive result for the specific virus. The color intensity will depend on the concentration of specific TORCH antibody in the samples. IVD TORCH test kits are used as a screen devices for the health condition of fetuses.
The acronym TORCH was introduced in 1971 by Nahmias et al. to highlight a group of viral diseases which affect the foetus and newborn, namely Toxoplasma gondii, rubella virus, cytomegalovirus (CMV), and herpes simplex virus (HSV). These diseases often lead to a similar clinical picture which includes one or more of the following clinical signs: low birth weight, prematurity, purpura, jaundice, anemia, microcephaly, hydrocephaly, cerebral calcification, chorioretinitis, cataracts, microphthalmia, and pneumonitis. TORCH screening is now widely requested by clinicians investigating infants and pregnant women for congenital, perinatal and neonatal infections.
* TORCH test is easy to use.
* No additional instrument or reagent is needed;
* Each TORCH testing panel is enclosed in an aluminum pouch with a silicon gel for long time storage;
* With a TORCH 5-in1 test panel, all five serum tests are performed in one time, thus give a full view of the health status of the teste.
