Immunology – Hematology

Immunology focuses on the interaction and disorders of the immune system, while hematology focuses on blood diseases. Testing within the area of immunology enables the detection of several diseases. For example the C5a ELISA Anaphylatoxin detects C5a in plasma or urine. C5a causes an increase of the permeability of blood capillaries and the chemotaxis. Within the field of sport medicine, regarding the abuse of drugs, hematologic tests for Erythropoietin
(EPO) are especially important. This is why both immunology and hematology require the highly reliable testing methods that we can offer.
