The Syphilis Cassette Test is a one step membrane immuno test for the rapid qualititative detection of antibodies (IgG and IgM) against Treponema Pallidum (TP) in whole blood, serum, plasma for the diagnosis of syphilis.
Treponema Pallidum is the antigen of the sexually transmitted disease Syphilis (Lues venerea). Syphilis is transmitted during sexual acts by mucous membrane contact or by blood from person to person.
