BTA cassette test is a visual immunochromatographic rapid test for the qualitative detection of bladder tumour antigen (BTA) in human urine samples. The determination of BTA in the urine is used to assess the risk of bladder cancer. The test can be used both to monitor patients already diagnosed with bladder tumours as well as as an screening test for the early detection of bladder cancer. The test is a useful aid for the routine examination of patients who are being examined for the occurrence of relapses.
